On December 29, 2009, CFCA President and Co-founder Bob Hentzen will begin a walk of more than 8,000 miles, from Guatemala to Chile.

Bob's walk will weave through 12 countries in Central and South America. He will arrive in Chile in April 2011, shortly after his 75th birthday.

Bob's first walk has served as a touchstone moment for CFCA, reminding the CFCA community to strive to be a "tranquil, loving presence in today's world."

Since his first walk, Bob has continued his ministry of humble service among the people CFCA serves in San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala.

Bob’s walks facilitate community building and strengthen the bonds of solidarity among CFCA families, sponsors and co-workers. Bob also walks to thank sponsored members and their families for the inspiring example of their own daily walk, to remind them of our love for them, and to reduce their feeling of isolation.
